Welcome
Wolfeboro Library - Go Green
Wolfeboro Library Go Green Campaign
The Wolfeboro Library Go Green Campaign is ready to accept donations for the greening of the library grounds. Following the successful building of the library interior, the next phase for the new library is to complete the exterior landscaping. The beautiful design of the exterior grounds, generated by the landscape architectural firm of Horsley-Witten, is highlighted in this picture.
The landscape design features many beautiful trees, flower gardens, a storytime area, an inspiration path and steps, wetlands garden and bridge, and building plantings. In addition, the plan improves handicap access, provides green buffers for neighbors, solves parking lot drainage issues, removes invasive species, and provides a welcoming face to Wolfeboro for residents and visitors alike arriving on South Main Street.
Many opportunities are available to donate an item, such as a tree or plant, as a tribute to honor or memorialize a friend or loved one. For a full descriptions, see Tribute Items. For further information, call 603-569-6802.
Please include your name and other pertinent information on the DONATION AND PLEDGE FORM. Mail your donations to the Wolfeboro Public Library Foundation, PO Box 472, Wolfeboro NH 03894. Thank you for your continued support of the library.
President's Message
Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest. The Wolfeboro Public Library Foundation is a private, nonprofit corporation committed to support the continued growth and development of the Wolfeboro Library. The Foundation reinforces the need for continued public support for the library and is a catalyst for attracting private funding from individuals, businesses and organizations. We seek to enhance library services that benefit educational, cultural and community goals. Foundation grants to the Library are separate from the Town’s obligations to support the Library.
The Wolfeboro Public Library provides materials, services, and programs to meet the personal, educational, and informational needs of community residents and visitors of all ages. The Library occupies a building at 259 S. Main St. of approximately 15,000 square feet constructed in 1979 and recently expanded and renovated in 2020. Several library engineering and architectural studies show that the newly renovated larger modern building will enable the library to serve community needs much more effectively in the coming years.
We encourage you to review the other information available here to explain the past, present and future of the Wolfeboro Public Library.
Please become a partner with the Wolfeboro Public Library. Your personal efforts, advocacy, talents, creativity and donations will help make the new library even more effective. Contributors become members of the Foundation and will receive periodic status reports and long range information.
